Dr. Aloysius (Al) Grieshaber, 92, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, died April 18, 2026.
Al was born April 21, 1933 to Harry (Gunnie) and Lillian (Herman) Grieshaber. He is survived by his son Mark and his wife Sue, daughter Mary and her husband Brent Rupp, son Matthew, grandchildren Rebecca, Ely, and Sai (Sarah), great-grandchild Lilah-Grace, and sister Pat Simpson. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Virginia (Ginny, nee Heher), his son David and his daughter Kathryn Sienna.
Al was Valedictorian of his Valle High School class in Ste. Genevieve, MO, and later received a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from St. Louis University. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a founding member of the Sunset Hills Dental Group and practiced dentistry in the St. Louis area for many decades, during which he was a member of the Missouri Dental Association and the Greater St. Louis Dental Society. Al was an avid traveler and gardener for many years. He was an active member of the St. Justin Martyr parish in Sunset Hills until his move to Lee’s Summit in 2021, when he became a member of Our Lady of the Presentation parish.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, on Friday, May 22. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., with mass following. Private interment at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis.
