Arturo Montoya Delgado, 74, of Raymore, passed away November 10, 2025. Visitation will be Thursday, November 13th from 10-11am at Longview Funeral Home, with services beginning at 11am. Burial with full military honors will follow at Anna Edna Cemetery in Jerico Springs, Missouri.
Arturo was born on December 24, 1950 in northern Mexico to Arturo Zacarias and Maria Antonia (Aguilar) Delgado. He immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he was a sniper and attained the rank of Corporal E-4. Following his honorable discharge, he joined the National Guard and served in several locations, including Germany, Alaska, and Panama. During his service in the Army National Guard, he earned the rank of Sergeant First Class E-7.
Arturo retired from the United States Postal Service after a career as a sorter and a carrier. Outside of work, he enjoyed woodworking, making benches, tables, and especially bird houses and squirrel houses. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
Arturo is survived by his wife, Vicki, of 54 years; his son, Arturo Rafael Delgado and his wife, Jennifer; four grandchildren: Grant Lee Delgado, Calvin Alexander Delgado, Maxwell Cole Delgado, and Eleanor Ruby Delgado.
