With deep sadness, we share the passing of Athena Marie Riner, born on September 15, 2025, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Athena was deeply loved and brought joy to her family. Though her time here was brief, her presence will always be part of the hearts of those who loved her.

Athena is survived by her loving parents, Laura Hoyt and Bradley Riner; her siblings, Brycen Butler (age 9), Jaxen Butler (age 8), Bradie Riner (age 15), and Hadley Riner (age 12), who will forever remember their baby sister.

She is also lovingly remembered by her grandparents, Jeff and Sharon Hoyt, Robin Hoyt, Brian and Lori Riner, and Pamela McGaugh, along with extended family and friends who mourn her loss.

Athena will forever be remembered and deeply missed, her memory held close by all who were blessed to know her.
