November 15, 1966 — October 3, 2013

Benjamin (B.J. or Ben) Joseph Arcano Jr. of Clinton, Missouri (formerly of Raytown, Missouri) went home to be with his Heavenly Father on October 3, 2013 from heart failure. He was born on November 15, 1966 to Benjamin and Sondra (Schrog) Arcano in Honolulu, HI.

He graduated from Raytown High School in 1985. He received an Associate's Degree from Electronic Institute in 1989. He went through the Sheet Metal Apprentice Program and worked 10 years for Local 2.

He loved to fish, hike, camp, and take adventures with his family. He was active with the youth of Lane Avenue Baptist Church and Camp Mission Point. He was involved with Camp Fire Boys and Girls, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He helped with cheerleading, football, band, wrestling, soccer, room parents and anything his children were involved in.

He was an Honorary Warrior in the tribe of Mic-O-Say. He chose the tribal name "Watcher of Wild Animals" because of his love for children and nature. He was a member of Troop 225 of Clinton, Missouri and previously Troop 145 of Raytown and 430 of Clinton.

B.J. is survived by his parents Ben and Sonnie Arcano; loving wife Carla (Flood) Arcano; 5 beautiful children April Slagle and husband Brandon, James, Paige, Logan and Grant; 2 granddaughters Rylee and Elliot Slagle; sister Tina Perez and husband Randy; brother Adam Arcano and wife Molly; mother-in-law Wanda Flood; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends that will miss him deeply.

Visitation is Monday, October 7, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. with funeral services on Tuesday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m. at the Newcomer's Longview Funeral Home with burial in Newcomer's Longview Memorial Gardens.
