Betty Jean Hiser, 86, died Sept. 8, 2014 at the Belton Regional Hospital. She was born Dec. 5, 1927 to the late William Henry and Faye V. Nichols Thomas in Grove, Oklahoma. She was married to Carl James Hiser May 11, 1946 who passed July 1, 1992. They moved to Grandview, MO in the early 1960s where she was a homemaker and enjoyed making wedding cakes and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include daughter, Debra Stroble, granddaughter, Melissa Stroble, brother, Neol Thomas, nieces, Carolyn McCarthy, MaryAnn Culley, Sandy Hartley, Karen Waldron, Rebecca Caldwell, nephew Stephen Thomas, Gary Culley, Richard Thomas, Ronald Hiser and their families. She was preceded in death by sister, Dortha Beeman and brother, Nap Thomas.
