Christopher Schumann

March 29, 1986 — July 15, 2015

Christopher Michael Schumann, 29, passed on Friday, July 17th at Centerpoint Medical Center. He was surrounded by family and friends.

Chris was born on March 29th, 1986 at St Luke's Hospital in KC,MO. He was the third child and only son of Donna and Horst Schumann. Chris grew up at Lake Lotawana where he spent much of his time fishing, on the lake, being outdoors, and he loved playing football. Chris was always a sweet, loving, sensitive and artistic child. As he grew older he fostered his love for the arts through music, drawing, painting, and cooking. He was a very talented musician and could play the drums, guitar, bass, sax and djembe. Chris realized in high school that he wanted to be a tattoo artist. He was an amazing, talented, driven tattoo artist with a unique style. He was known as "The Color Bomber". Chris was an avid sports fan and he loved his hometown Chiefs and Royals. Chris truly loved his wife, family and friends. He was so happy to have found and married Christy, the love of his life. He was known for his loving, sensitive, caring, selfless ways. Chris was the funniest and most entertaining person, whose laugh, jokes, sayings and noises could light up a room.

Chris is survived by his wife, Christy; his mother, Donna; his father, Horst; two sisters: Jennifer and Stephanie; three nephews: Cade, Ry and Braeden; his grandmother, Arlene; his two beloved dogs: Chief and Roxy; and hundreds of friends.

Visitation will be on Wed, July 22nd from 6 to 9pm at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO. A funeral service will be held on Thurs, July 23rd at 2 pm with interment to follow at Longview Cemetery.
