Cynthia Sue Brown (October 3, 1951 - July 31, 2011)
Cynthia Sue Brown was born in Kansas City, Missouri, to Roland and Barbara (Crawford) Brown. She was raised in South Kansas City, and graduated from Center High School in 1970. Shortly thereafter, she moved with the family to New Jersey, earning a secretarial cerificate from Stafford Hall in 1972. Her career at Ciba-Geigy, (now Novartis) began in 1973 continuing until her retirement in 2002. Cindy returned to the Midwest where she again was able to spend time with her large family of siblings, their spouses and many nieces and nephews. She was a loving aunt who enjoyed participating in family activities.
She was the oldest of six children and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara J. Brown of Kansas City, Missouri, and her siblings Valerie Brown Davis of Prairie Village, Kansas, Debbie Farnam of Kansas City, Missouri, Kevin Brown of Independence, Missouri, and Mary Brown Bonacci of Westfield, Massachusetts. She is preceded in death by her sister Nancy Louise Brown, and father Roland W. Brown. Graveside services will be held at Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri, 10 AM Tuesday, August 2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Research Institute, National Headquarters, One Exchange Plaza, 55 Broadway Ste 1802, NY, NY 10006 or via internet through www.cancerresearch.
