David Duffelmeyer, 76, of Belton MO, passed away December 11th, 2025, at Belton Regional Medical Center. A graduate of Paseo High School, he was a devoted husband to Sandy and a loving father to both Brian and Beth. David was hard-working and dedicated. He was married to Sandy for 54 glorious years and spent 31 years working at Social Security Administration, where he was known for his reliability and dedication. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his passions of golf and bowling. Though David may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of many qualities such as but not limited to integrity, kindness and generosity. He left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frederick G. Duffelmeyer and Mother Miriam T. Walters Duffelmeyer, and brother Frederick A. Duffelmeyer.
He is survived by his wife Sandra K. Killion Duffelmeyer of Belton MO, his son Brian (Stephanie) of Belton MO and his daughter Beth of Castle Rock CO, grandchildren Nick (Shaleigh), Makayla, William, Olivia and Hannah, great grandchildren Kenzleigh, Everleigh and Brynleigh. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Verhulst of Edmond OK, stepbrother Rob Blum (Gwen) of Lawrence Kansas and brother-in-law Ray Killion (Gay) of Holden MO, brother-in-law Dennis Scarborough, Belton, Mo., as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held on December 28th with a 1pm visitation and a 2pm funeral service at Longview funeral home. The Burial will be 3pm at Longview Cemetery with a reception afterwards at Longview Funeral Home.
