Mrs. Deborah Jones

Debby Jones, 47, of Lee's Summit, passed away March 15, 2013, at K.C. Hospice House, after a 5 year battle with cancer. She was born November 10, 1965. She grew up in Independence, MO. and graduated from Truman High School. She was a devout Baptist and a member of the Cornerstone Church. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Denver and Helen Moreland and her father Danny "Gene" Meeker. Debby is survived by her husband, George Jones, mother and step father Darlene and Denton Benson, her children Chris Leslie and Shelby Jones, grandchildren Payton and Summer Leslie, sisters Jeanette Burnor and Pamela Kelsay, and her dogs Winston and Piper. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Newcomer's Longview Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Longview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Longview Funeral Home.
