Donald Lee Spratt, 81, of Archie, MO passed away on April 29, 2015.
He was born in Durham, Missouri on January 27, 1934 to Earl and Lily Spratt. After attending Palmyra High School, he joined the army in 1952 and served in Korea until February of 1954, then he came back to the States and married Opal Marie Arterbury in October. In 1955, he attended Texarkana Jr. College and received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. Finally settling in the Kansas City area in 1965, he worked as a machinist for several years.
Donald is survived by his wife, Opal Spratt; his children: Dona Allinder, Ronnie Spratt, and Kenny Spratt; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings: Bessie (Ken) Heinze, Barb Myers, Charlie (Judy) Spratt, and Marsha (Joe) McCullough. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Cleo “Jack” Spratt, Lavern Spratt, Darlene Naderhoff, Sandra Morley, and Helen Spratt.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:30 am at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO, with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery.
