Edward L. Hudson, Sr., 89, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away on December 28, 2016.
Edward was born on December 17, 1927 to Lucious and Melissa Hudson in East St. Louis. He served in the US Air Force for 27 years. After his time in the military, he was a truck driver and a member of Teamsters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eleonore; and his brothers. Edward is survived by his son, Edward (Marcia Kielhofner) Hudson, Jr; his son, Roc (Joy) Hudson; his daughter, Christina (Kenneth Strickland) Hudson; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and his sisters: Dr. Geraldine Jenkins, Ruby Hudson, and Willie Mae Long.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, Mo, with a visitation beginning at 1:30 pm. Inurnment will follow in Longview Cemetery.
