Elliott Stockert

Elliott C. Stockert, 64, Lee's Summit, Mo., died Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Lee's Summit Medical Center. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 30, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Longview Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held August 31 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial immediately following at Longview Cemetery. Elliott retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Elliott Stockert of Council Bluffs, Iowa and sister, Carol Blixt, of Lee's Summit, Mo. He leaves behind Margie, his wife of 30 years; his children, Jennifer Meiries (Shelby) of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Darrin Stockert, Belton, Mo.; grandchildren, Laura, Ashley, Amber, Jackson and Katie and great granddaughter, Molly; twin sister, Elaine Flood (Jack) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; sister, Judy Marchant (Larry), of Prairie Village, Kan.; brother-in-law, Alfred Blixt, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; nine loving nieces and nephews; eight great nieces and nephews; too many friends to count and one special dog named Sugar.
