Gayla Davis

October 5, 1966 — January 2, 2023

Grandview

Gayla Ann Davis, age 56, of Grandview, Missouri, passed away peacefully in her home on January 2, 2023.

Gayla was born on October 5, 1966, to Anthony Baladenski and Betty Frier (Hardwick) in Hannibal, Missouri. She was a loving mom and hard worker who enjoyed playing games and spending time with family. She also enjoyed reading, fishing, knitting, discovering new crafts to make and share with loved ones, and catching a good deal - especially at a yard sale.

Gayla married the love of her life, Joseph Davis, on July 2, 1990. He survives. Gayla and Joe raised three beautiful children together: Lance Baladenski of Missouri, James Davis (Alba) of Missouri, and Julia Dengel (Stephen) of Kansas. Gayla was also a beloved sister, stepmother, cousin, aunt, niece, and friend to many.

Gayla held several jobs during her lifetime, the most fulfilling being the roles of “mom” and “grandma” to her three kids, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Gayla will be truly missed by the loved ones she leaves behind.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Longview Funeral Home & Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri.
