Robert Geoffrey Long was born on December 15, 1985 in Lubbock, Texas. From the time he was born, he brought joy to all who knew him. He walked through this life with a heart for others. Rob attended many schools, due to his dad being in the military. He adapted to every situation with his easy-going nature. He had a great sense of; humor and a welcoming spirit.
Rob joined the USAF Reserves in 2005 and served a tour in Iraq in 2007/2008. He transitioned to the Navy Reserves where he became a Corpsman.
Rob attended World Revival church and knew the power and presence of God. Now, he sees clearly what we see dimly.
Rob married the former Febe Woodworth in 2007. Besides his wife and daughter, Ava, he leaves behind his parents, Randy and Sherry Long, sister Shannon (Tyler) Walls, grandparents Les and Marlene Long and Lucile Jankowiak, Febe's parents, Alan and Laura Woodworth, brother David, sister Sarah (James) Bower, sister Esther and grandparents David and Marieta Pederson and Leonard and Nelle Travaille.
Rob walked into the presence of god on January 12, 2012.
The celebration of his life will be held 1 pm Wednesday, January 18 at World Revival Church, 9900 View High Drive, Kansas City, MO., friends may call from 11-1pm at the church. (Arr. Newcomer's Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery 12700 S. Raytown Rd. Kc. Mo. 816-761-6272)
