George A. Chrisman

George A. Chrisman, 89, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023, at his home in Lee’s Summit.

 Born on August 15, 1934, in Liberty, MO, to Howard C. and Mollie Belle Chrisman. George dedicated over four decades to education, serving the Grandview School District from 1958 to 1989 and later at Avila University from 1989 to 2000. Post-retirement, he discovered a passion for pottery. George's impact extended beyond his family touching countless lives through his teaching and artistic contributions.

 Preceding him in death were his parents, sister Nancy Chrisman Jones, and daughter-in-law Kim Chrisman. George is survived by his wife Rachel, sister Martha Chrisman Hall, and his children Marty Christy, Scott (Julie) Chrisman, George Chrisman, and Aaron (Michelle) Chrisman. He also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, and 7 Great Grandchildren.

 A devoted husband, father, brother, son, granddad, and friend, George A. Chrisman will be remembered for his warmth, wisdom, and the indelible mark he left on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.

 In Lieu of flowers please make contributions to Grandview Education Foundation in the name of George Chrisman to the Bill Brady Visual Art Fund.

 Services will be Friday, February 9th at 1:00pm with a celebration of life following until 4:00pm, at Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery.
