Mr. Grover Mendenhall

Grover L. Mendenhall (G.L.) passed away on March 14, 2010 at Cass Regional Medical Center in Harrisonville. A memorial service will be held on March 20 at 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Raymore. G. L. was born on May 26, 1935 in Mountain View, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Frank and Zelma Kilgore, his sister, Deloris Midgley, and his brother, Larry Kilgore. Survivors include his daughter, Tammie Mendenhall, and his grandson, Nicolas Quigg. He is also survived by one brother, Garrey Kilgore, Independence, MO, and four sisters, Frankie Gosney, Grandview, MO, Bobbie Follett, Raymore, MO, Elaine Weiner, Richardson, TX, and Sharon Thomas, Raymore, MO, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. G.L. enjoyed socializing and traveling with his friends and served as an officer in the local Chapter of NARFE (National Association of Retired Federal Employees), as a Senator with the Silver-Haired Legislature, and as a Chief’s Red Coater. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Harrisonville Meals on Wheels.
