Harold Austin Hewitt, passed into the loving arms of his savior on 10 May 2019.  Reunited with Rita, his wife of 70 years, together they stroll heaven’s garden basking in the glory of god and being together again.  Harold was born 13 August 1922 in Milford, Nebraska.  The son of George S and Matilda (Raitt) Hewitt, he was the youngest of seven children.  Harold served in the Navy during World War II, receiving the Purple heart for injuries sustained during a Kamikaze attack.  Harold was forever married to Rita Mae Crozier in February 1946.  He spent 33 years as an engineer with Bell Systems traveling extensively in support of establishing worldwide communications networks.  Harold and Rita were avid card players, enjoying evenings sharing their skills with friends and family.
