Helen L. Yoemans

Helen Lucile “Eversole” Yoemans, 94, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 27th, 2023. Helen was born on November 4, 1928, in Iconium, Missouri to Jim and Cora “Tucker” Eversole. The youngest of eight children, she grew up on the family farm until the family moved to Clinton, Missouri where she graduated from high school in 1946.

On March 19, 1950, Helen married Jim Yoemans and the couple moved to Kansas City, Missouri. She worked outside the home for several years before staying home to raise her family. Jim and Helen were blessed with 2 daughters Pam and Susan. Helen was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Grandview Missouri since 1984.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Jim, and Cora Eversole, 5 sisters, 2 brothers, and a son-in-law Doug Henry. She is survived by her husband Jim, daughters Pam Henry, and Susan Hurd, Son-in-law Gary Hurd, grandchildren Matt (Laura) Henry, and great-grandchildren Nick and Korbin Henry. Helen will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Held for Helen at Longview Funeral Home 12700 SE Raytown Road, Kansas City, Missouri, 64149 on Friday April 7, 2023, with Visitation at 10am followed by service and burial beginning at 11am.

In Lieu of flowers family is requesting memorial donations in Helen’s honor to Kanas City Hospice.
