Herman Bland, 75, passed away November 17, 2019. He was born April 21, 1944 in Carlise, Arkansas to AB and Arnetta Bland. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister.
Mr. Herman Bland graduated from Carven High School in Lonoke, Arkansas in 1962. After graduation, he attended Mechanic school in Little Rock, Arkansas and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri and became the owner and operator of Metro Transmission for 45 years. He was well-known and loved by many. Daddy can never be replaced but he will always be in our hearts and memories. He will be forever loved!
He leaves cherished memories with his wife of 53 years, Shirley Bland; son, Eric Bland (DeAnna); two daughters, Yolanda Bland and Rebekah Bradford (Delwan); nine grandchildren: De'Mario Bland, Er'Rico Bland, Precious Hill, Erika Bland, Ce'Asia Bland, Joeslynn King, Jalyn King, Kendall Dooley, and Heaven Bradford; eight great-grandchildren: Zerahieh Bland, De'Mario Bland Jr., De'Marion Tatum, Ra'Miyah Wilson, Dasani Jones, Dederick Jones Jr, Naim Burnett, and Damoni Shelby; six siblings: Arthur (Carol), Curtis (Donna), Alexander (Shirley), Harry Bland, Lela Beatrice Heard, and Florence Lunnie; along with many other relatives and friends.
