Jack M. Sheppard, 67, of Kansas City passed away on June 28, 2016.
Jack was born in Claremore, Oklahoma to Earl & Naomi Sheppard on October 26, 1948. Jack loved fishing and hunting. He worked as an auto mechanic at several different locations, but the majority of his career was spent at Ford. He was a member of the Cherokee Nation.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. He is survived by a brother and sister; his wife, Virginia; his children: Glynis (Buster) Hower, Katie (Sherrie) Sheppard, and Bryan Sheppard; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews who lovingly referred to him as “Uncle Indian”; and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1st at 2:00 pm at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, KCMO, with a visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Longview Cemetery.
