Jacob’s journal- Feb 24, 2008
Have you ever loved someone and seen your efforts fall by the wayside? Extended your concern, but got batted down? Should I even try again? Is it worth it? Sometimes we do not ever know the results of our efforts to love and serve, but the [Lord] reassures us, at least on a personal note, that that which we send out will return again unto us after this life. Our love and service is not in vain, but somehow shapes and becomes a part of us until perhaps we possess the whole of charity. Filled with that love. Restored to that love if we gave of that love in this life. We may feel rundown, worn out, trodden, but someday we will be restored to happiness and righteousness.
Jacob’s notes from "Endure it Well," about Dan Lilenquist plane crash Feb 8, 2012
The only lasting tragedy is sin. We will all die one way or another, whether it will be at 90, or young in an accident... regardless, it will feel like a short time on earth. Pain fades and the memory of pain fades with time. No act of kindness is wasted.
