Jeffrey Fitzgerald Baker, 43, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on September 8, 2024.
Jeffrey was born on October 9, 1980, to Ron and Cindy Baker in Kansas City, Missouri. He was raised in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, and attended Lee’s Summit High School, Longview Community College, and the University of Central Missouri. Although best known for his work at Blockbuster Video, on Pine Street in Warrensburg, and at Stanford’s Comedy Club, Jeffrey worked as an IT support specialist at the time of his passing.
He was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend. We will remember him most for his huge heart, irreverent humor, booming voice, intelligence, and incredible hugs.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edith and Kenneth Lawrence, Donald and Bette Fitzgerald, and Jean Goodman; his uncles, Gayle Baker and Timothy Fitzgerald; and beloved dogs Jenny, Gracie, Molly, and Trixie. He is survived by his father, Ron Baker (Gail Hazekamp); mother, Cynthia Baker; sister, Ashley Baker (Kathy Gentry); nephew and niece, Noah and Paige Washington; fluffy foundling cat (and rewiring specialist) Dander Mifflin; and many, many heartbroken friends and relatives.
A visitation will be held at Longview Funeral Home on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There will be a picnic to celebrate Jeff’s life at Longview Lake Shelter 2, immediately following the visitation.
