Mr. Jerry Gibson

Jerry E. Gibson, 74, passed July 23, 2011. Born July 23, 1937 in KCMO, son of Bert & Louise Gibson. He is survived by Lee Gibson, his wife of 28 yrs, children Jo Ann & Keith Heck, Jerry Owen Gibson, Judy & Ron Main, Jack Gibson, stepchildren Jeffrey L Davolt, Jennifer & Rich Baty, grandchildren Jerry Joseph Gibson, Jesse Owen Gibson, Kennedy Bailey, Elizabeth Bailey, Brothers & Sisters Ruth Gibson, Rusty (Ed) Kline & Di, Lydia Gibson, Deanna & Jim Lisac, Gerry Huff, & several nieces & nephews. Pre-deceased by his mother and father, stepdad Ed Kline & brothers Chuck Kline & Lloyd Gibson. Also known as the Coffee Man, Jerry provided KC restaurants with coffee for decades & coached intercity youth baseball & football for many years. This brought him the recent honor of sitting in the Buck O'Neil seat. In lieu of flowers, contributions to American Parkinson Disease Association. Funeral service will be held Noon, Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Newcomer’s Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery, with burial immediately following at Longview Memorial Gardens.
