John Holder

John Holder, 57, Richlands, NC formerly of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away July 28, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. John is retired from the US Navy in 1989, after serving 21 years. He often stated his service to his country was his proudest accomplishment. He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Holder. He is survived by his loving wife Betty, daughter, Shauna Holder, son, Michael (Kim) Holder of Richlands, NC and stepson Jeff Johnson of Overland Park, Kansas. His Mother, Ressie Holder, sister, Kate (Gene) Carr and brother Spence (Dee) Holder, and 6 Grandchildren. Services will be Friday, August 3, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. at Newcomers Longview Funeral Home 12700 S. Raytown Road, Kansas City, Mo. and burial to follow at Floral Hills East Cemetery, Lee's Summit, Mo.
