Mary Elizabeth “Kathryn” Hacker, 101 years of age of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away February 22nd, 2018.

The daughter of Ernest Shirk and Clementine Lininger Shirk born October 25, 1916 in Belton, Missouri.

Kathryn was an extremely talented seamstress, starting her career at Nelly Don Garment in Belton, MO in 1938. She continued to work until retiring in 1998.

Kathryn, “Katy” to her many friends was loved by every person who had the pleasure of being around her. She knew no enemy, no barriers, just simple love for everyone. God’s angel on this earth. Kathryn demanded only one thing while here on our planet that her children be around her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl D. Hacker; daughters: Sandra Sue Reynolds and Karen Sue Oldham; brothers: William Shirk and Ernest Shirk; sister, Dorothy Lane; and daughter-in-law, Mildred Reynolds.

She is survived by sons: Terry Reynolds and his wife, Sue; Robert Reynolds and his wife, Beverly; Keith Reynolds; and Earl D Hacker, II; and son-in-law, Spencer Oldham. She has been blessed with 16 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and 32 great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Floral Hills East Memorial Gardens, 25203 E Us Highway 50, Lees Summit, MO 64086. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Cancer Society.
