Kathy Linn Serrone, 58, passed away on January 27, 2022. She was born to the late Delane Washington and Jannie Spradley on January 14, 1964. She was loved by all of those who knew her and will be missed dearly.
Kathy was, in a word, radiant. Her smile and her laugh brought joy to the faces of all others in the room. She was a genuine, kind, and generous person whose love knew no bounds, making her an incredible mother, wife, and friend.
Kathy enjoyed doing anything and everything with the people she loved, especially with her kids; she was practically a career PTA member. She also deeply enjoyed going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and shopping as many sales as possible. She loved living life and always tried to take advantage of all it had to offer, even in her last days.
She worked as an IT Specialist at the United States Department of Agriculture for 36 years, where she met her husband, Michael. She was a long-time member of Lee’s Summit Christian Church and deeply enjoyed participating in their community outreach programs.
She will be incredibly missed by all who knew her, there will never be another person quite like her.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Serrone; daughter: Erica Serrone; son: Andrew Serrone; brother: Jeffrey (Debbie) Washington; and numerous family and friends.
