Katie Lorena Winfrey, 84 of Independence, MO. passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2010. Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 24th from 1 – 2:00 pm at Newcomer’s Longview Funeral Home. Funeral Services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Longview Memorial Gardens. Contributions to The Groves Hospice.
Katie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, James E. Winfrey who passed away on Feb. 18, 2010, her son in law Ron Hale and her parents Grace and Homer Wilson. She is survived by her daughters Sharon Hale, Debbie Thompson, Janet Williams and her husband Danny, six grandsons, Nathan, Tyler, Casey, Matthew, Austin and Brandon, two great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kaitlyn and her bother Leo Wilson. Katie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She will be in our hearts forever. (Arr: D.W.
