Kenneth C. Holdeman, 94, passed away November 21, 2025 at the home of his daughter, Kim, with whom he had lived since 2012. The visitation will be Thursday, December 4th from 12-2pm at Longview Funeral Home in Kansas City. Funeral services will be 1pm on Friday, December 5th at First Mennonite Church in Halstead, Kansas, with burial to follow in Halstead Cemetery.
Kenneth was born on May 14, 1931, in McPherson County, Kansas, to Joseph and Esther (Lugenbill) Holdeman. A lifetime member of the VFW, he was a proud Marine Corps veteran, having served in the Korean War. He retired from Consolidated Freightways as an over-the-road driver, primarily driving out of Kansas City, North Platte, Nebraska, and Cheyenne, Wyoming.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his infant son, Jeffery Ty, in 1960, one sister, and six brothers. He is survived by two daughters, Kim Wiechers (husband, David) and Tari Benne (husband, Brian); grandchildren: Derek, Nathan, Julie, Robin, Shelby, and Brooke; and 14 great grandchildren.
