Born in Cole Camp Mo to Donald Wray Silvey and Aretta Silvey. Lanny grew up with his 4 brothers Kevin, Phill, Ron and Mark. Lanny graduated from Southeast High School Married the love of his life Rhonda Silvey in 1972, Lanny and Rhonda had 4 Children, Lanny Chad Silvey, Matthew Silvey, Micah Silvey and Nicole Silvey. Lanny Joined the Air Force in 1979 and continued to serve his country for 20 years retiring in 1999. Lanny Also worked for Hallmark retiring after 25 years. Above all, he was a man of faith whose trust in God guided his life and gave him strength through every season. He lived with humility, compassion, and a generous heart, offering kindness and encouragement to everyone he met. His unwavering belief, quiet courage, and steadfast love for his family and friends reflected the values he cherished most. Though he is no longer with us in body we find comfort in knowing he has been welcomed into God's eternal presence, reunited with his wife, where there is peace, joу, and everlasting life. His faith-filled legacy will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him. His Children Lanny Chad Silvey (Faith), Matthew Silvey (Crystal), Micah Silvey. And Lots of Honorary Children whom he loved like his own. His Grandchildren Tiffany Schefferler (Ryan), Dakota Silvey (Alex), Taylor Silvey (Ethan), Austin Casey, Eli Casey, and many honorary grandchildren all who will cherish his memory. A celebration of Lanny's life will be held at Turning Point Church 9150 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, Mo 64138 Viewing at 4pm, Funeral Services at 5pm, with the burial immediately following at Longview Funeral Home 12700 Raytown Rd, Kansas City Mo 64149. Dinner will be held for family immediately following the burial at Turning Point Church. Pastor Jason Houston Pallbearers Lanny Chad Silvey, Matthew Silvey, Micah Silvey, Dakota Silvey, Chris Lang and George Price. Honorary Pallbearers, Austin Casey and Eli Casey.
