Leron F. Gragg

Leron F. Gragg was born on September 8th, 1942, in Plantersville, AR. (Drew County) to Lonnie Lee (Brown) and O.V. Gragg. He spent the majority of his adolescence in Monticello Arkansas, where he received his education and graduated from Monticello - Drew High School. Leron later met Joyce Davis through a mutual connection, whom he eventually married and would become his wife of 63 years. To this Union, a daughter, Lorraine Gragg, was born. Leron moved his family to Kansas City, Missouri where he settled and spent the rest of his adult life. Leron was employed at Rew Co Materials for 42 years until his retirement. Leron enjoyed barbequing and considered himself a grill master. Leron also enjoyed taking care of his home and especially took pride in his lawn and spent most of his time gardening. He loved visiting and talking with extended family and attending various social events in his spare time. Leron never met a stranger and always had a very affectionate disposition. Leron loved to share and partake in stories about his southern, humble beginnings.

Leron transitioned this life peacefully on July 30th, 2025, at Saint Luke's Hospice Home in Kansas City, Missouri, where he was surrounded by immediate family.

Leron was preceded in death by both his parents and 4 other siblings. He leaves to cherish his lovely wife Joyce (Davis)Gragg, daughter Lorraine Gragg, and Grandson DeJuan Trent. Brother-in-law Dean Davis, Sister- in-law Bernice Matthews, special niece Peggy Gonder-Dukes, an uncle, an aunt, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
