Obituary

Lila Mae Sheehan lived a full life of 77 years always finding ways to serve. A Marine serving her country for 3+ years, 32 years of service to the public working for the US Postal Service, and countless hours of service to her family and friends. Lila and Carol Jean Larson lived together for 53 years as partners along with many well-loved cats and dogs over the years. Lila’s parents were John Otis and Mildred Williams, the owners of the general store in Peace Valley where she learned early in life kindness and generosity. She was born in West Plaines Missouri on May 17th, 1949. She is survived by Carol, sisters Beth Haddock and Janice Stein, nephews Jody and Bob, nieces Jamie and Jennifer as well as great niece Ashleigh Mitchel, great nephew Kyle Stein, great twins Sophie Elizabeth and Joseph Michael as well as great great nieces Reagan, Chloe, and Everleigh.

There will be a celebration of Lila’s life will be held at a future date, and any donations to honor Lila’s life should be sent to the Heart of America Humane Society, Attn: Donations, P.O. Box 12703, Overland Park, KS 66282
