Linda McTeer

Linda Monteen McTeer of Lee's Summit, M0 passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022 at her home. Visitation will be from 10-11 A.M. with funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 22 at Longview Funeral Home. Graveside service 3:00 P.M in Flag Spring cemetery, California, Mo.

Linda was born in California, Mo. on November 28,1942, the daughter of John Alvin Allee and Florence Birdsong Allee. Linda was raised in the church and was a faithful believer. She married the love of her life, Lee McTeer, November 16, 1963. Their love was steadfast and true; the two were inseparable.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her dedication to her family was unwavering. She had a kind and compassionate heart, always caring for those she loved. She cherished family and the time spent with them. Being a grandma was one of Linda's greatest joys, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She was the heart of her family. Linda shared a special bond with her sister, and enjoyed weekend visits with shopping and savoring good food.

She led a vibrant, colorful life. Linda enjoyed spending time at the beach collecting seashells, savoring fine seafood, and relaxing in her beach chair beside her loving husband Lee. The beach was a special place that Linda enjoyed with Lee. She enjoyed spending time outdoors on her deck or front porch admiring the beauty of her flowers.

Linda had a festive spirit and treasured gatherings for birthdays, holidays and special occasions. She had a passion for the performing arts, and loved attending orchestra events and recitals. Linda adored her cats as well. She retired from Research Belton Hospital after 30 years of service.

Linda will be missed greatly by family and friends; she will be remembered in our hearts forever.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband Lee, two daughters Leann Solomon, and Tammera (Phillip) Evans; sister Carmen Laurnell Deatherage (Ron); sisters-in-law Bobbi Ammerman, Teri McTeer, Jane McTeer and Glenda Tuberville. Six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
