Martha Schroeder

May 18, 1941 — January 26, 2021

Martha Louise Schroeder (nee Susich) was born on May 18, 1941 in Centerville, Iowa and died on January 26, 2021 at Wilshire Lakewood, Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Her parents were John and Louise Susich. On May 28, 1960 she married the love of her life, Donald William Schroeder, and they remained happily married for 60 fantastic years.

She graduated from Fort Madison High School and soon began a family to whom she devoted her long and loving life.  Along with raising her three children she devoted time to service at her church and the American Red Cross.

After they retired, Martha and Don moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas where they lived right on the golf course.  Her family was always her greatest joy and she spent many happy hours baking special treats and caring for them.

Martha is survived by her daughter Traci Keeler and significant other Mike Helton (Lee’s Summit, Missouri), son Greg Schroeder and daughter-in-law Heather Schroeder (New Boston, Illinois), son Eric Schroeder and daughter-in-law Heather Schroeder (Greenwood, Missouri). Martha’s four amazing grandchildren are Chase Keeler, Jordan Heaton (and spouse Joe Heaton), Drake Schroeder (and fiance Taylor Jones) and Journey Schroeder. Martha has two awesome great-grandchildren Lucas Heaton and Paisley Heaton.  She is also survived by sister Helen Mosier and brother-in-law Ken Mosier (Grand Mound, Iowa), brother John Susich and sister-in-law Sheri Susich (Las Vegas, Nevada).  She was preceded in death by son Scott Schroeder and husband Donald William Schroeder.

The family will hold a private memorial service Saturday January 30, 11:00am with live link options (https://www.bluerivercofc.org/).  Family requests that in lieu of flowers or cards, donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at https://act.alz.org/site/TR/Events/Tributes-AlzheimersChampions.
