Neva Jane McDougal, 95, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving children.
She was born on October 15, 1929, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Christ and Gertrude Enuff. Neva dedicated 35 years of her career to Sears, Roebuck & Co., working in Credit Central. Beyond her work, she gave much of her time and energy to her church and community. She was a devoted member of Grandview United Methodist Church, where she faithfully served as treasurer for the women’s group. She also volunteered with the Grandview Shepard Center, assisting with Meals on Wheels, and was always quick to support numerous charities.
Neva’s life was defined by service, love, and generosity. She cherished her family and friends deeply and lived each day with kindness and a giving spirit.
She is survived by her three children: Wayne McDougal (Jan McDougal), Janie Bellew (Carl Bellew), and Wes McDougal (Denise McDougal); five grandchildren: Ashley, Heather, Meagan, Jacob, and Kelsey; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christ and Gertrude, her 3 sisters; Ruby, Rosie and Anna, brother; Ray, her husband; Ernest McDougal and many close friends.
A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery, 12700 SE Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149.
Neva will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her faith, and her community. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service.
