Orville Lee Banker

Orville Lee Banker, 95, of Grandview, Missouri passed away peacefully the morning of September 23^rd, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Hartington, Nebraska, February 27^th, 1928. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1946 later enlisting into the United States Air Force in 1950 where he served 20 years. He then worked for the US Government/ Social Security Administration for 25 years retiring in 1995. He married the love of his life, Ella M. Boston on May 26^th, 1958, and had their beautiful daughter April in 1963.

He loved his family deeply and put his family first above everything. In his younger years he enjoyed scuba diving, traveling, going on cruises, and spending time at the VFW. He enjoyed ballroom dancing, tending to his garden and birds, always having his dog at his side, and solving puzzles in his free time. He will always be remembered for his tireless energy and zest for life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ella M. Banker, his only daughter April L. Lassiter (David), His two granddaughters Ashley L. Bowlus (Aaron), Madison G. Rushin (Ryan) and one great- granddaughter Arabella M. Bowlus.
