Patricia Ann “Pat” Graenser, 66, passed away on November 13, 2025. Born in Long Beach, California, in September 1959, Pat made her home in Grandview, Missouri, where she built a life centered on love, family, friendship, and unwavering dedication to those she cared for.
Pat was the beloved wife of Carey Graenser. She was a devoted mother to Jennifer Deck; Carey “Moe” Graenser Jr.; Robert Graenser; and to her sons David and Aaron, who preceded her in death. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Wilbur Quick and the late Helen Alice Shaw Quick, and was also lovingly embraced by her stepmother, Elaine Quick, who joined the family through marriage in August 1973. Pat is also remembered as the sister of the late Christine Louise Simons and of Scott Alan Quick, as well as a proud grandmother to Jo Marie Davison, Allison Bailey-Ann Deck, and Joselynn Renay Deck.
For more than 17 years, Pat worked as a school bus driver for the Belton and Ray Pec school districts, touching countless young lives with her warmth, humor, and steady presence.
Known for her loving and caring spirit, Pat could be funny, strong-willed, and wonderfully stubborn all qualities that made her the vibrant, unforgettable woman she was. She would give anything she had to help someone she loved and never hesitated to be there in times of need. She often reminded her granddaughters, of the importance of loving and caring for one another, no matter the circumstances. As Jo Marie shared, “Anytime I needed anything she was a phone call away, and a ‘I love you sweetheart’ was always something that made me feel better.” Pat’s loyalty, encouragement, and unwavering support were constants in the lives of those she cherished.
She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like reading, watching television, spending time with her girlfriends, going to movies, shopping, collecting jewelry, and getting her nails done. And for her daughter Jennifer, her familiar greeting “What’s up, buttercup?” sent in calls or texts, will forever remain a tender reminder of her love and playfulness.
Services celebrating Pat’s life will be held at Longview Funeral Home and Cemetery.
