Raymond Schuster

Raymond G. Schuster, 87, of the Kansas City area passed away on Tuesday, January 17th at his home.
Raymond was born on February 6, 1929 in Fox Lake, Wisconsin and was the son of Vincent and Anna (Backhaus) Schuster. After attending Fox Lake High School, Raymond served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years. After his time in the service, he worked for UMB Bank for 24 years, from which he retired. He enjoyed gardening, square dancing, playing cards, and being with family and friends. He was a member of First Baptist Raytown Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Marion (Schmidt) Schuster and Thelma (Crain) Schuster; brothers: Fredric Schuster, James Schuster, and Lorence Schuster; sister, Dorothea (Ruben) Hoeft; and step-son, William (Bill) Thurman. Raymond is survived by his sons: Frank (Vicki) Schuster, Richard Schuster, and Jeff (Terrie) Schuster; step-daughters: Judy (Bill) Wordelman and Brenda (Ron) McCamish; grandchildren: Jordan & Aaron Schuster, Chad Meise, Laurie (Randy) Spalding, Jason (Susan) McCamish, Dawn (Justin) Jones; great-grandchildren: Stettler Foshee, Kelsi (Josh) Gibbs, Dustin Spalding, Madison & Brianne McCamish, Gage Templeton, and Tucker Jones; great-great-grandchildren: Kolson & Kinsley Gibbs; sister, Carol (Bill) Abel; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21st at 2:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior to service at Longview Funeral Home & Cemetery in Kansas City, MO. Interment will follow with military honors, and his final resting place will be in Heaven.
