Raymond “Larry” Wells, 67, of Gladstone, MO, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 2nd, 2017 at Saint Luke’s Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Larry was a Pressman at Jefferson Smurfit for 36 years before retiring. Larry enjoyed playing pool and spending time with his friends and family. He was a great husband, dad, brother, grandpa, and uncle. He was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, and he fought a good fight. There was no stronger man than him in his family’s eyes.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Wells; children: Tana Ritchie of Kansas City, MO; Steve Wells of North Kansas City, MO; Angie Wells of Lee’s Summit, MO; and James Sparks of Kansas City, MO; his sister, Beatrice Bland of Kansas City, MO and his brother, George Friedman of Irving, TX; in addition to several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a nephew.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 6th at 2:00 pm at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO 64149, with a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery.
