Robert T. Casey, 87, of Leawood, Kansas passed away peacefully on October 11, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born on December 20, 1927 in Kansas City, Missouri to Timothy and Jennie Casey. He had seven siblings growing up. He graduated from De La Salle High School and served 2 years in the US Navy, participating in the Seabees. He married Burna Deane Bolch in 1950, who passed in 1997. He later married Dolores Murphy in 2007. He was a member of the Floor Layers Union #1179 and spent his career as a commercial floor layer. He also was a manager and coach in the Kansas City, Jackson County 3 & 2 Baseball League. He was a member of Christ the King Parish of Kansas City, Missouri and then Curé of Ars Parish of Leawood, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Burna Deane; granddaughter, Erin Blocher; one brother and five sisters. He is survived by his wife, Dolores; his children: Rena (Fred) Blocher, Tom (Andrea) Casey, Steve Casey, Catherine Mannell, Patricia (Mark) Bradford, Dinah (Derek) Lambert-Mitchell, Angela (Tony) Sedano, Mike (Brenda) Casey; 26 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; his brother, John W. “Bill” Casey; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The Casey family would like to express their love and appreciation to the Murphy Family.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct 15th from 5:30-8:00 pm at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct 16th at 10:00 am at Longview Funeral Home with interment to follow in Longview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy, Ste 200, Kansas City, MO 64114.
