Robert “Bob” Harold Villiard, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Bob was born on September 5, 1942, in Portland, Oregon, to Leon Villiard and Nomi Hammer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob proudly served in the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963. During his service, he served aboard the destroyer USS Edson DD-946 and attained the rank of E-3 Fireman. His military service remained a source of pride throughout his life.
Following his military service, Bob spent many years as a long-haul semi-truck driver, traveling countless miles across the country before retiring. He was known for his strong work ethic, determination, and independent spirit.
Bob was a member of Brooking Heights Baptist Church in Raytown, Missouri, where he was baptized on Father’s Day, June 16, 2024. His church family held a special place in his heart, and he was especially fond of his brothers and sisters in Christ, as well as his pastor, his pastor’s wife, and their children. The friendships and fellowship he found there were a meaningful part of his life.
Bob shared 31 years of marriage with his wife, Linda Villiard. Together they enjoyed many adventures and created countless memories. In earlier years, Bob and Linda enjoyed playing darts, sand railing, and taking camping trips together.
He is survived by his children: Robert “Bubba” Verl Villiard of Riverside, California; Shawna Von Dene Villiard Boyd and husband Timothy of Bodcaw, Arkansas; and David Mark Villiard of Prescott, Arkansas.
He is also survived by Linda’s children: Theresa Nall and Mike Spencer; David Nall and Maximilian McKee; and Daniel Nall and wife Jennifer Nall, all of the Kansas City, Missouri area.
Bob’s grandchildren include Seth Reha, Riley Reha, Jannel Rene’e Poindexter and Michael Poindexter of Prescott, Arkansas, Jessie Rene’e Rash of Magnolia, Arkansas, Joni Vondene Villiard and fiancé Andrew Vander Horn of Longmont, Colorado, Kati Ann Marie Williams of Rosston, Arkansas, Shelby Nall, and Garrett Nall.
His great-grandchildren include Dawson Poindexter, Paisley Poindexter, Jaxxon Boyd, Harper Boyd, Lane Shocklee, and Landon Nalls, along with five additional great-grandchildren.
Bob also shared a lifelong friendship and enduring family bond with Kathleen Sidoti, the mother of his children.
Bob had a deep love for custom classic cars, hot rods, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He was a proud member of the D-Dudes car club and treasured the friendships and memories made through the car community. Whether working on classic cars, repairing something around the house, or helping a friend in need, Bob’s mechanical skills and resourcefulness were well known to those around him.
Perhaps more than anything, Bob will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and ability to make people laugh. Whether he was spending time with family, working on cars with friends, attending car shows, or talking for hours on the phone sharing stories and jokes, he brought joy to those around him. His laughter, friendship, and love of good company left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Bob treasured his family and the memories they created together. Those who knew and loved him will forever remember his stories, his laughter, and the warmth he brought into their lives.
