Roger Lee Beatty

Roger Lee Beatty, 74, passed away on April 8, 2024.  

Roger was born on August 11, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas.  He graduated from Washington High School before enlisting in the U. S. Marine Corp, where he was the recipient of two Purple Hearts before his honorable discharge.   When he was not working, he enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Marjorie (Johnson) Beatty.  He is survived by four children:  Bryan Beatty (wife, Courtney), Michael Beatty, Kelsey Beatty, and Cody Beatty; grandchildren:  Alex, Leah, and Sarah; and siblings:  Glen Beatty, Dean Beatty, and Bobby Purtee.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery on Friday, April 19th at 10:00am.
