Ruth "Daisy" Emma Larsen

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ruth Emma Larsen, affectionately known as "Daisy" to her family and friends. Born in Kansas City, MO on July 18, 1976, to Lawrence & Barbara (Cottrell) Larsen. She spent her life spreading love and joy to everyone around her.

   Anyone who knew Daisy knows that her true passion was being around water. She loved spending time at the family cabin, fishing, swimming, and boating. She even had a bit of a talent for hula hooping! When not near the water, you'd find Daisy indulging in crafts and painting which were some of her favorite hobbies.

Her heart was truly made of gold, and she went out of her way to make others feel special - whether by making them laugh or by just being the friend they needed. Her infectious smile could light up any room she entered.

Daisy has now departed from this world on May 5th, 2023, at her home. She leaves behind memories cherished by all whose lives she touched throughout her time on earth. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed enough to know her.

Daisy is preceded in death by her father, grandparents, and uncle. She is survived by her daughter Haley Jean Larsen-Barsotti, grandson Lamontae Barsotti-President, mother Barbara Larsen, sister Kimberly MontsDeOca, nephew Corey MontsDeOca (Destiny), aunt Ruth Cottrell-Bain (Phil), cousins Daniel Lehmann, Sarah Lehmann, Rebecca Janisch, her beloved tri-pod dog Rainy Mae and many other extended family and friends.

Though Daisy's passing is difficult for us all, we take comfort knowing that she will always live on through our memories of her as a vibrant, talented and caring individual who was taken much too soon but leaves behind memories that will endure forever.

Rest in peace Daisy until we meet again. A memorial service will be held for Daisy as a later date.
