Sandra Butler

Sandra Butler passed away at home on July 7, 2024, at the age of 81.

Sandy was born on July 12, 1942, to William and Virginia (Tate) Kuhler in Brunswick, MO. She graduated from Keytesville High School in 1960 and attended Kirksville State Teacher’s College. She was employed as a secretary at Reynolds Metals and Hallmark Cards.

Sandy married Gary Butler in 1967. They had one daughter, Melanie, in 1970. After being a stay-at-home mom, she resumed her career as an accountant at Sprint and retired in 2008.

Sandy enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, fishing, morel mushroom hunting, cooking, sewing, and jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Home and family were very important to her. She enjoyed spending time with all her family and her grand-dog Harley, a yellow Labrador.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Gary (Ann); and one sister, Janice Plummer. She is survived by her daughter, Melanie and her partner, Bea; two sisters, Dee Anne (Bob) Buennig and Sydne McRoberts; one brother Mike (Brenda) Kuhler; four nieces: Buffi, Tammy, Breanda, and Kysala, and one nephew, Brad.
