Sandra Jo Richardson, 68, of Lake Winnebago, passed away on October 30, 2017.
Sandy was born September 13, 1949 in Topeka, Kansas to Joseph Martin Wilson and Betty Lavon Wilson. She married the love of her life, Dr. Gerald L. Richardson, on February 5, 1972 and they had two children, Rebecca Diane and Michael Lee. Together, in 1974, they opened a business, Bannister Veterinary Clinic, and successfully treated animals and cared for their employees for over 35 years. Sandy loved traveling with her family and has many fond memories of watching whales from her favorite Maui beaches. Sandy adored her family and one of her favorite traditions was singing carols on Christmas Eve with her family including nieces Heidi and Kelly Meyer, and great nephews MichaelAnthony, Mehki, and Reece, Overland Park, KS.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Richardson, children, Becky (John) Myrick, Kijabe, Kenya, Michael (Samantha) Richardson, Raymore, MO, and grandchildren, Tyler, Grant, Trevor, Grayson, Ruth and Grace, and brothers Larry (Jo Lynn) Wilson, Overland Park, KS, Steven (Ruby) Wilson, Lee's Summit, MO and Willie Meyer, Overland Park, KS, and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Marty Trout and Diana Meyer.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 3rd from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Lone Jack Baptist Church, 202 S Bynum Rd, Lone Jack, MO 64070. A Memorial Service will be held at Lone Jack Baptist Church on Saturday, November 4th at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to African Inland Mission, P.O. Box 3611, Peachtree City, GA 30269-7611. Checks should be made out to African Inland Mission and please include a note stating the donation is for John and Becky Myrick.
