Carr, 77, of Grandview, passed away October 9, 2020.  Services will be 2:30pm on Monday, October 19 at Longview Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 1:30pm.  Burial will take place at Longview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.

Sharon was born on April 1, 1943 in Cabool, Missouri, to Carlos Jack and Ruby Jewell (Johnson) Brown.  She grew up near Cabool and lived in Idaho for a time before moving to Kansas City, where she graduated from Ruskin High School.  After graduation, Sharon began life as a wife, mother, and career woman, working in the early days of computer technology for Western Electric, Baptist Hospital, Prime Health, and Del Corp.  She was a Chiefs and a Royals fan, and loved to have parties and entertain during the games.  More than anything, Sharon focused on family, especially her grandkids and great grandkids.

Carr; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lynn; a grandson, Vincent Rosario Colgan; brothers, Carlos Larry Brown and Allen Lee Barnes; and sister, Diana Jewell Anderson.  Survivors include her three children:  Kandace Kaye Johnson, Jeffrey Ernest Colgan, and David Vincent Colgan; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
