Terry L. Wheeler, 65, of Lee’s Summit passed away on December 29, 2016.
Terry was born on January 6, 1951 to Mariam and Pearl Wheeler in Arkansas City, Kansas. He served in US Army during the Vietnam War, where he was a radio communications operator. After his time in the service, he worked in banking security and then for the Department of Immigration where he retired. He liked fishing and had a love for traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Terry is survived by his wife, Alice; his children: Donnie (Chris) Rice and Tony (Angie) Rice; his grandchildren: Ashely Rice, Gage Rice, Michael Rice, and Landon Rice; his brother, Jerry Wheeler; and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 3rd at 12:00 pm, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 am at Longview Funeral Home, 12700 S Raytown Rd, Kansas City, MO. Interment will follow in Longview Cemetery.
