Eloise Teasley

July 1, 1931 — April 23, 2022

Eloise D. Teasley, 90, of Raytown, Missouri passed away peacefully on April 23, 2022. She was born into the loving home of John and Hattie (Long) Good on July 1, 1931, in Miami County, Kansas. Eloise was one of four children.  She graduated as Salutatorian of her class from Louisburg High School in 1949.

After graduation, she moved to Kansas City and was employed as a secretary at BMA. One evening she attended a YMCA dance for young adults and met the love of her life, Warren D. Teasley, and they were married in 1952. Eloise and Warren lived the fairytale love story for 51 years until Warren’s passing.  During their 51 years of marriage, they were blessed with 3 amazing children, Kathy, Valerie, and Brent. Eloise loved staying home and raising her family. She worked part time at JC Penney and later as a church secretary for many years.  She enjoyed traveling with her family. She kept a journal of each trip which outlined daily activities and how much was spent which the family has enjoyed reading recently.  She told family members that her all-time favorite vacation was an Alaskan cruise.

Eloise was always strong in her faith and volunteered at the church in many roles. She enjoyed Bible studies and Sunday School classes.  She instilled her Christian values to everyone by the way she lived her life. Family gatherings were special; food and good times were always enjoyed. She was well known for her fried chicken, deviled eggs and especially her apple pie which was much loved by her grandchildren. She spent many hours attending various activities of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren—sporting events, band concerts, school programs, dance recitals. She was a longtime fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and loved to cheer for them.

Eloise was preceded in death by her parents John W. Good and Hattie R. (Long) Good, her husband Warren D. Teasley, her loving son Brent J. Teasley, her brother Edwin Good and sister Eleanor McKaig.

She is survived by her daughters Kathy (Doug) Rogers, Valerie (Kenny) Carstens, daughter-in-law Susan Teasley, brother Eldon (Ellie) Good, 6 grandchildren: Kim, Erica, Emily, Jenna, Zachary, Kelly, and 3 great grandchildren. Eloise will be truly missed by extended family and friends who knew her.
