Karen DeHaven

May 24, 1955 — December 14, 2020

Karen Jeanne DeHaven passed away on December 14, 2020. She lived her whole life faithfully following God and serving Him. She passionately founded and ran her church’s children ministry for second through fifth graders for nearly twenty years, teaching hundreds of children a love for God and the Bible. She also brought her enthusiasm for life to the classroom, where she taught fourth and fifth graders for thirteen years, after an already accomplished career in assisting developmentally disabled adults and administering social services programs. In her personal life, she unconditionally loved her family and tirelessly devoted herself to others. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.

She is survived by her husband Van DeHaven; daughter Susanna DeHaven; sister and brother-in-law Pastors Kathy & Steve Gray, and their daughter Bobbie King and her family; brother and sister-in-law James & Carol Moffatt, their son William Moffatt and daughter Anna Drexelius, and their families; and many other family members.

The funeral service and burial will be limited to family members.
