Manon Werner

March 16, 1953 — March 12, 2022

Manon Maria Aline Werner passed away peacefully on March 12, 2022, surrounded by family. Her memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 3:00pm at Forerunner Church Fellowship at 12444 Grandview Road, Grandview, Missouri, 64030.

Manon Werner was born March 16, 1953 in Quebec, Canada. She was the 7th child of the late Jean-Denis Lamoureux and Lilianne Hebert Lamoureux. She grew up with her 9 siblings on her family farm there in Quebec .

Manon married Thomas Werner, April 6, 1978 in Pennsylvania. This union blessed them with 7 children and 17 grandchildren. Manon professed her faith in Jesus Christ in 1978 and spent the rest of her life living to love, please and glorify the Lord. In 1983, Manon and Tom felt called to a life in full time ministry. She served as a beloved pastor’s wife in 4 different churches over the next 20 years. In 2006 the Lord led them to Kansas City to be a part of the International House of Prayer. She spent countless hours as a regular intercessor in the prayer room. She spent 2-3 years on a team at Hope City, often leading the prayer sets. She was an initiator and leader for the food ministry called Manna4you for 7 or 8 years. She was an active intercessor for the Israeli mandate, Prayer for the Persecuted Church, and the group that prayed for Canada. Manon opened her home and helped lead small group Bible studies for 15 years, and also small groups for IHOPU students for 5 years. In addition to this, Manon regularly invited people over for meals and fellowship. She was also a devoted and true friend to many.

But Manon’s greatest joy in life was raising her 7 children and then loving on her numerous grandchildren. She loved her family fiercely and always pointed them first and foremost toward the Lord. Despite her active and involved life of ministry, she always made time for them.

Manon is survived by the love of her life, Tom. Her children Melissa (Aaron) Boeger, Andrew (Sharlene) Werner, Samuel (Ana) Werner, Sherry Werner, Caleb Werner, Loretta (Seth) Wynveen, Justin (Kristine) Werner. Her grandchildren, Gavin, Keagan, Lincoln, Shiloh, Skye, Veera, Ellis, Ava, Mya, Ryder, Haven, Elaina, baby Wynveen, Molly, Emmet, Mathias and Tabitha. Manon is survived by 3 sisters, Marguerite, Lucette, and Lynda, and by 4 brothers, Jacques, Laurent, Andre, and Jean-Guy.

Manon will be intensely missed and for anyone who knew and loved her and was loved by her, this is a great loss.

Isaiah 30:15

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength."
