Ruth Jeanette Eichmann, 94, of Belton, Missouri passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Home. Ruth was born into the loving home of Henry and Dora Borcherding in Norborne, Missouri on January 3, 1928. Ruth attended Trinity Lutheran school through elementary and went on to attend High School in Carrollton, Missouri after her Junior year she would move to Kansas City to live with her sister and complete High School at Westport High School.
Ruth would later be introduced to the love of her life Lee Eichmann by mutual friends on a blind date at Guy Lombardo at the PlaMor. The Korean War put their love story on hold, but they were married on October 10, 1953, at Immanuel Lutheran Church and from this union had a son Mark Eichmann. Lee & Ruth were always very active in the church and raised Mark the same way.
Ruth was always very active in Marks life and was always involved in his activities growing up. She made sure she lived a Christian lifestyle and kept faith and love a major role to all her friends and family.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents Henry William Fredrick Borcherding, Dora Bieweiner Borcherding, stepmom Frieda Lueders Borcherding, brothers August and Milton Borcherding, sister Ellen Carr, and her loving grandson Jacob Masters.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband Lee Eichmann, Son Mark Eichmann (Leslie), grandsons Jeremy and Joshua (Amanda) Masters, great-granddaughter Haleigh (Kyle) Thompson, Victoria Masters, Veronica Masters, Sky (Jon) Johnson, Kaelyn Johnson, and Evangeline Masters. Great grandsons Remy and Jason Masters, brother Glen Borcherding and sister Elvira Kennedy.
Services for Ruth will be held at Calvary Lutheran Church 7500 Oak Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64114 on Monday June 20, 2022, visitation 3pm, funeral at 4pm followed by a light fellowship meal. Interment will be held at Higginsville Veteran Cemetery Tuesday June 21, 2022, at 11am.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made in Ruth’s honor to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Home or Calvary Lutheran Church.
